I designed and produced two items for Poundshop 8, a pop up shop based in Selfridge’s department store for a limited period. The poundshop’s ethos is simple, “to spread design to a wider audience by making it accessible through price and engagement.”
The challenge for this project was to submit an item which was design led, useful or desirable and could be made and sold for a minimal cost. I have continued to be part of many other Poundshop projects since, sending work to Russia, Edinburgh, Tokyo and London.
